We are still collecting for the Walk for Water project and we are within $1,000 of reaching our goal of $5,400 to provide a new well for one community's use!
Despite the apparent abundance of clean water in the US and most of the
developed world, more than 1 billion people around the world lack
clean, safe drinking water and more than 2.6 billion lack adequate
sanitation services.
In
the Cross we have a powerful symbol at the very heart of what it means
to be a Christian. Vertically we are reminded of God reaching down to
us, horizontally we are reminded of our outreach to one another. For
those less fortunate in the world, both spiritually and materially, we
faithfully support local, national and world mission efforts that
demonstrate our commitment to personally enact God’s embrace of all
people everywhere. Active mission is the smoke that proves the fire of
faith is fully ablaze!

Mission Trip to New Orleans
In the summer of 2008, seventeen members of our congregation took a week-long trip to re-build houses and re-visit with our friends in this physically devastated area.
Media Ministry
DVDs of Sunday worship are available.
TELEVISION
& DVD: Using
the media as a medium for the Good News, our worship is broadcast
weekly on local access television covering the region. Sunday morning worship services and many special events
are recorded on DVD. These DVDs are available by contacting the church
office, using our Contact page.
RADIO: In addition, during the Christmas and Easter seasons, Rev. Bill writes and voices various (radio commercials) broadcast on commercial stations to reach an audience not necessarily
attached to the local church. These messages are designed to recast the
eternal Gospel into a modern paradigm, thereby making the Good News
more accessible to the general population. In the past, some of these
commercials were commended by Connecticut Governor Lowell Weicker. Click here for samples of our recent radio commercials.
